About Us

Overview
Assembly Solutions is a privately owned company established in 1995 by the present Managing Director Graham Balshaw. Following his electronic engineering degree and initially working for Philips he has subsequently managed varying sized business during his 25 years in the electronic/electrical industry. The last ten years have seen consistent growth and the company now employs 50 staff in a well-equipped 15,000 sq. ft. factory based in Bolton, Lancs, an area rich in industrial engineering resource.

Core business
Our core business is the preparation of wires, crimps and connectors sold in either a simple form or as highly complex vehicle wiring looms. Most of our work is produced in Bolton with manufacturing facilities in the Far East becoming an increasingly important factor in maintaining our competitiveness and service for our UK/European customers.

Equipment and Tooling
We have invested heavily in a wide range of specialised machines such as cut and strip machines, pneumatic crimping presses, wire printing, a rolling road to handle drums up to 1 ton and a wide variety of tooling to cover all the major brands of crimps and connectors. This ongoing investment ensures we are able to offer a high quality product at the most cost effective prices.

Staff Development
Successful growth and customer satisfaction can only be achieved by ensuring our staff are well trained and motivated. To help achieve this we have gained accreditation to the “Investors In People” standard. In the last year we have also put all our staff through intensive training and workshops for “Lean Principles” under the guidance of the Manufacturing Institute.
