Coils and Wound Cables

Over the last ten years ASL has developed a unique expertise in Coil and Cable Winding. Our three main types are:-

Linear windings such as Air Coils

These coils come in all shapes and sizes and can be manufactured in low to medium volume on a short lead time at our Bolton factory or on a slightly longer lead time at our low cost facility in China. A popular application for these coils is “contact free access control”

Torroidal Coils

ASL has been supplying small torroidal coils from our low cost ISO9001 factory in China for over 10 years

Spiral Cable Winding

ASL is the UK’s largest manufacturer of flexible transducer cable used in current and energy measurement. This technology can also be applied to other products requiring a fine wire spiral wound around a flexible cable or core.
